GARRETT - Mrs. Cora A. Rottger, 74, Rt. 1, Garrett, died at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday in DeKalb Memorial Hospital, Auburn, of cancer. She had been ill for several years and hospitalized since May 4.
She was born May 22, 1896, to Mr. and Mrs. Johnston Zollman.
She married LeRoy Rottger in Fort Wayne, Nov. 17, 1919. He preceded her in death Dec. 13, 1957.
Mrs. Rottger lived in Garrett for 35 years and was a member of the Nazarene Church, Garrett.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Billie Wyatt, 410 S. Cowen St., Garrett; Mrs. Robert Hammond, formerly of Auburn, Eldorado, Ark.; and Mrs. George Lillo, Willard, Ohio; a step-daughter, Mrs. Jack Jackson, Fort Wayne; four sons, Harold, Rt. 2, Auburn; Harry, Rt. 3, Auburn; Franklin, Auburn; and Melvin Winebrenner, Angola; a brother, Edgar Zollman, Churubusco; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Hipshire, Churubusco; Mrs. Bertha Cripe, Wolf Lake; and Mrs. Lena Krusher, Montpelier, Ohio; 32 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday in McKee Funeral Home, Garrett, with the Rev. Kenneth Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Chapel Cemetery.
Friends may call after noon Thursday in the funeral home.
