Forest A. McBride

Forest A. McBride, 80, a former resident of R. 1 LaOtto, died at 5 p.m. Thursday evening at the Sacred Heart Home in Avilla. He had been a patient of the Home since April 30, 1980.
Mr. McBride was born in Allen County on June 19, 1901. He was the son of Calvin and Ada Johnson McBride. On March 9, 1926, he was married to Myrtle Freeman. They had lived in Noble County where he was a farmer. Mrs. McBride preceded her husband in death in April of 1963.
Mr. McBride was a member of the Ari Church of God.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Dale (Betty) Sloffer of R. 3 Churubusco and Mrs. Daniel (Carol) Alspach of R. 1 Churubusco; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; one brother, Raymond McBride of Fort Wayne and one sister Miss Evelyn McBride of LaOtto.
In addition to his wife, three brothers preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Sheets Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert Crabtree and the Rev. Verlin Rice officiated. Burial was held in the Fairview Cemetery.
