Irvin Delauter Died Saturday

Irvin Delauter died at his home in Wabash Saturday afternoon after an illness of several months from cancer. His condition had been serious for some time and after spending some weeks in a hospital at Goshen without relief, he returned to his home at Wabash. The funeral was held at the Methodist church at Wabash this afternoon and burial was in Pleasant Hill cemetery west of North Manchester.
Mr. Delauter was the son of John Delauter and wife and was born near North Manchester 50 years ago. He married Miss Nellie Schwenk and they lived on the Delauter farm northwest of North Manchester until Mr. Delauter was elected county treasurer several years ago. He served four years and the last few years had served as deputy in the office of the county auditor.
Surviving are the widow, three children, Lera May and Joseph at home and Mrs. Frank Ott of Rosedale, California. The latter had been here several weeks but returned to her home about ten days ago. The aged mother is also living and two sisters, Mrs. Verl Weeks of North Manchester and Mrs. Elizabeth Hitchcock of Santa Barbara, California. Mrs. Hitchcock arrived Sunday afternoon having started before Mr. Delauter died.

Mrs. Irvin Delauter Died in Hospital Friday

Mrs. Nellie M. DeLauter, widow of Irvin C. DeLauter, of Wabash, died in the Wabash County Hospital Friday evening.
She had been in failing health the past year. The funeral was held Monday afternoon at the Eddingfield Mortuary in Wabash and burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery west of North Manchester.
Mrs. DeLauter was a daughter of Peter and Loa Groninger Schwenk, and she was born in Pleasant Township September 1, 1882. She married Irvin C. DeLauter, who died August 16, 1932.
Surviving are a son, L. Joe DeLauter, Wabash; two daughters, Mrs. Robert Abernathy, Wabash; and Mrs. Frank Ott, Sacramento, California; four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
