Roy Creech, 75
Roy Creech, 75, a resident of Collins, died at 1:09 a.m. Sunday, August 13, 2000
at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. He had been in declining health for some time and entered
the hospital Friday.
Born December 23, 1924 in Perry County, Ky., a son of Albert and Eliza Jewell Creech,
his formative years were spent in that area until moving to Collins with his family as a youth.
He served in the U. S. Army during World War II.
On January 27, 1972 he was united in marriage to Ruth Ann Colpetzer Hyser in Columbia City
and the couple has resided in Collins since that time.
Employed as a set-up man for Dana Weatherhead Division in Columbia City for 30 years, he retired in 1983.
He had owned and operated a CB radio shop in Collins for 12 years and was a beekeeper.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Ruth Ann;
two sons, Robert Creech and Mark Creech, both of Fort Wayne,
two daughters, Carolyn McGee, Churubusco and Judy Zent, Leo;
four step-sons, Terry Hyser, Kenny Hyser, Rodney Hyser and Tim Hyser, all of Columbia City;
two step-daughters, Teresa Earhart, Fort Wayne and Donna Weinberg, Columbia City;
two brother and sisters-in-law, Ralph and Mabel Creech, Columbia City
and Elmer and Josie Creech, Gaylord, Minn.;
three sisters, Thelma Robertson, Clearwater, Fla.;
Dair (Harry) Johnson, Knoxville, Tenn. and Lue (Rev. Paul) Tubbs, Berne;
four grandchildren; 11 step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Grace Tubbs and two brothers,
Hal Creech and Russell Creech.
The funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Sheets Funeral Home in Churubusco, with Pastors Paul D. White and Steve Hildebrand, officiating.
Visitation is 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Burial is at Highland Park Cemetery in Fort Wayne.

Charlotte Jean Creech, 68, of Churubusco, died at 4:05 a.m. Thursday, July 5, 2001 at her home.
Born September 23, 1932 in Smith Township, a daughter of Floyd and Mary Knight Trumbull,
she graduated from Churubusco High School.
She retired from Dana Corporation in Churubusco.
Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn (Steve) McKee of Churubusco and Judy (Jim) Zent of Leo;
two sons, Robert "Bob" (Rita) Creech and Mark Creech, both of Fort Wayne;
a brother, Carl Trumbull of Albion; two sisters, Mable Creech of Columbia City
and Grace Branning of Larwill;
five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service is 10 a.m. Monday, July 9 at Riverview Cemetery, south of Churubusco, with Pastor Lane Burgland officiating.
Visitation is 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Orr Funeral Home in Churubusco.
Memorials contributions may be made to Parkview Hospice of Whitley County.
