Ora Zolman
(1906 - 2000)
FAYETTE - Ora Zolman, 93, died Wednesday, July 19, 2000,
at Hillside Country Living in rural Bryan, where he had
been a patient for four years.
Born Dec. 24, 1906, in Williams County to Florence
(Croninger) and William Zolman, he had lived in the
Alvordton area and then in Fayette from 1953 to 1996. He
was married Sept. 2, 1927, to Mildred (Govin), who
preceded him in death in 1983.
A farmer, he had worked
at Hardy's in Hudson, Mich., and had been the custodian
for Fayette Schools for many years.
Surviving are two
daughters, Ella Mae Borton of Alvordton and Audrey
Severance of Fayette; eight grandchildren; 14
great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his wife, were a
brother, Leander Zolman; two sisters, Velma Zolman and
Wilma Zuvers; and one great-grandchild.
Friends may call at the Hollingshead Funeral Home in
West Unity from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday. Services will
be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home, with
the Rev. Gerald L. Frazee officiating. Interment will
follow in the West Franklin Cemetery in Fulton County.
