Clement V. Heeter Answers Last Call
Death Came Sunday Morning at Home
Had Been Crippled for More Than Forty Years - Funeral Wednesday Afternoon.
Clement V. Heeter died at his home on West Main street Sunday morning about six o'clock.
He had been in failing health for several months and Thursday evening sank into unconsciousness that lasted until his death.
The funeral will be held at the Christian church Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock.
Rev. J. J. Beisiegel will conduct the service and burial will be in Oaklawn cemetery.
Mr. Heeter was the son of George Heeter and wife and was born northwest of North Manchester May 13, 1865, being 56 years, 10 months and 19 days old at death.
He married Mrs. Florence Huffman and to this union was born one daughter, Marie, who survives together with the following sisters of Mr. Heeter, Mrs. A. D. Groninger of near Laketon,
Mrs. Henry Daub of Castle Rock, Minnesota, and Mrs. A. J. McNelly of Brookville, Ohio.
Mr. Heeter had been a cripple much of his life.
About forty years ago he fell from a hay stack injuring his spine so that he could get about only by aid of crutches or a wheel chair.
He was a member of the Christian church.
